Pontcysyllte Aqueduct on 4th April 2010

This is the impressive Pontcysyllte Aqueduct on the Llangollen Canal, viewed from the banks of the River Dee, over which it passes, on 4th April 2010. Built in 1805 by Thomas Telford, it is the longest and highest aqueduct in Britain. Having walked across the aqueduct and down a lot of steps to the river to take this photo, it was a long trek back, but worth it for this lovely silhouette.
